Mews & Co. ("we", "us", "our") operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). Mews & Co. is powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit, use or buy through the Services, or otherwise communicate with us, and how you can exercise your rights. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to personal information.
Person in charge of personal information
Mews & Co. is responsible for the personal information described in this policy (the "data controller"). The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Mews & Co. is our Privacy Officer, who can be reached through our Contact page (please choose "Privacy" or write "Privacy" at the start of your message). Personal information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Contact details: your name, shipping and billing address, phone number and email address.
- Order and transaction information: the products you view, add to your cart or buy, your order history, returns and refunds.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Account information: your login details and preferences, if you create an account.
- Communications: the messages, photos and videos you send us, for example when you report a problem with an order.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and similar information collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We collect this information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from our service providers (such as Shopify, payment processors, our fulfillment partners and shipping carriers). We only collect the information we need for the purposes described below. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
Why we use your personal information
- To process and deliver your orders, including payment, fulfillment, shipping, tracking, returns, refunds and customer support. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To communicate with you about your orders and your requests.
- To send you marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To measure and improve the Services and show relevant ads, using cookies and similar technologies, only with your consent where the law requires it.

- A buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold or transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.
All of our service providers are required to protect your personal information and to use it only for the services they provide to us.
International transfers
We are based in Quebec, Canada. Your personal information may be stored or processed outside the province or country where you live, including in Canada, the United States and, for order fulfillment, in Asia, where our fulfillment partners may be located. Before transferring personal information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, and we use contractual and other safeguards to protect it, as required by applicable law.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements and to resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information through unsecured channels. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the competent authorities as required by law.
Your rights

We respond within the time required by law (for example, within 30 days in Quebec). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows it.
Additional information by region
Quebec and the rest of Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec) and, where it applies, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Brazil. If you are in Brazil, we process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, LGPD). The legal bases we rely on are the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and improving the Services) and your consent (for marketing and optional cookies). You have the rights listed in Article 18 of the LGPD, including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion, portability, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent. Our Privacy Officer, reachable through our Contact page, acts as our contact person (encarregado). You may also file a complaint with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).
Mexico. If you are in Mexico, this Privacy Policy is our privacy notice (aviso de privacidad) under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. The data controller is Mews & Co., whose contact details appear in our Contact Information. The purposes for which we use your data are described above. The purposes that are necessary for our relationship with you are processing and delivering orders, customer support, payments and legal compliance. Marketing and advertising are secondary purposes, and you may object to them at any time through our Contact page. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition (ARCO rights), and revoke your consent, by sending a request through our Contact page with your name, a way to reply to you, proof of identity and a clear description of your request. We will respond within the time limits set by law.
United States. Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete and opt out of targeted advertising, the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and profiling. You can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal where required. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Children
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, or under 14 in Quebec, without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third party websites
The Services may link to websites and social media platforms operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required by law, notify you of significant changes.
